Fume hood, laminar flow cabinet or biosafety cabinet
These three look alike and protect different things. Getting that wrong costs money, because the cabinet arrives and does not do the job it was bought for.

A fume hood protects you, a laminar flow cabinet protects your sample, and a biosafety cabinet protects both. A laminar flow cabinet blows air at the person standing in front of it, so it is the wrong choice for anything harmful.
What decides which oven, incubator or water bath
