Rent while your own detectors are on the calibration bench
MSA recommends a bump test before each day's use and calibration at a maximum interval of six months. Detectors that were bought together are due for calibration at the same time, so a site can have all its detectors away in the same week. A rented set keeps the permits moving while the workshop works through your own units.

Confined space entry and the gas test
Malaysia's Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in a Confined Space 2010 requires an Authorised Gas Tester and Entry Supervisor to carry out the gas testing before an entry. That person needs a detector that is in calibration, whether the unit belongs to you or is rented. TopBorneo supplies and calibrates the detector that person uses.
