Helmets that pass a site inspection
Industrial safety helmets sold in Malaysia have to carry a DOSH-SIRIM label, to the standard MS 1869:2015. TopBorneo can supply helmets with that approval, so say so when you order. Harness inspection, and the interval nobody can quote
There is no single legal inspection interval for harnesses in Malaysia. What applies is the manufacturer's schedule, shortened when the harness meets heat, chemicals or abrasion. A harness that has caught a fall goes out of service immediately. TopBorneo inspects fall protection and writes down the result per item. The manhole is a confined space
A sump, a manhole and a fresh concrete tank all count as confined spaces. Malaysia's Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in a Confined Space 2010 requires an Authorised Gas Tester and Entry Supervisor, or AGTES, with a detector in calibration. Common questions
Does a construction site need gas detection?
Whenever the work goes into a manhole, sump, pit or tank, yes. Those are confined spaces, and Malaysia's Industry Code of Practice 2010 requires a gas test by an Authorised Gas Tester and Entry Supervisor using a detector that is in calibration. TopBorneo supplies and rents those detectors from Kota Kinabalu.
